Yesterday we experienced first hand how it’s possible to accomplish a lot in a little time while in Uganda. In the morning, Ryan and Sneha adventured for prototyping supplies at the mall, while Grace and Hannah frequented the paper services shop at Makerere University, and Kaveri and Brielle worked on our interview guides back at the hotel. In a matter of hours, we were able to finalize our prototypes in preparation for user testing in the rural villages surrounding Iganda, Uganda, all at a very decent price!
In the afternoon, we began our travels along Jinga Road to Iganga. We drove over the Nile River and sped through sugar cane fields and forests to arrive at Mums Hotel for a late dinner. Here we met Moses who will introduce us to the communities and hospitals in the villages of Iganga over the next few weeks. We are really looking forward to gaining valuable insights regarding our prototype and business model through user testing with mothers and conducting Community Health Worker interviews!
